I can't believe it has been three months since I have updated the blog! It's one of those things where I keep saying "This weekend I'll update the blog" and the weekends come and go and apparently so do the months!
It has been so incredible watching the boys grow, develop new skills, and display more of their unique personalities over the last few months. Alex is the mover and shaker of the two. He's been scooting backwards for the last three months and just last weekend he finally started crawling forwards! I was really starting to wonder if he would just go straight to walking. So far he just crawls within a small comfort zone, but we know it is only a matter of time... We also learned that the phone will make him crawl to just about any where:) More than crawling, Alex loves to pull himself up on to anything - including Max! Right now Max is my sit-n-reach baby. He's not interested in crawling or even being on his tummy. Max is perfectly content sitting in one spot for 30 minutes. He will play with things only within his reach. If he can't reach it- he loses interest. I'm compeletly okay with having one baby being mobile and the other relatively stationary because I know that will soon change! Both boys are chatting up a storm, but Max is definitely our talker and grunter! Pretty funny stuff watching Andy and Max in their grunting match.
The boys have been troopers with the whole teething thing. Max now has his bottom two teeth and this top two teeth in. Alex has the bottom two in and three coming in on top. They pretty much chew on anything and everything that is presented to them- including one another! The boys have also been doing well eating solids. Tonight they devoured their baby version of turkey tacos!
Naps are still are biggest challenge! So if anyone has any tips- please feel free to share! The only time Alex really cries is when we put him down to sleep. Now, even when we lay him on the changing table he cries until his realizes we are not trying to put him to sleep.
With summer finally here, the boys are definitely getting out and about more. Our beloved Elizabeth takes the boys to Book Babies at the library a couple of times a week where they get to play with other babies. They've gone to the zoo and swimming. They even have had their fair share of Bonnie Brae Ice Cream.
We have our 9 month check up with the doctor this Friday. I still can't believe they are 9 months old. I have a feeling the next three months will go by even faster and be even more exciting! I hope to do a better job blogging in the coming updates, so please stay tuned!
